The jury-vetted assemblage of artisans surrounded the Elizabeth Taber statue and welcomed shoppers for their goods, while attendees also enjoyed goodies from a nearby food truck and live entertainment from the doorsteps of the MAC. Marion Natural History Museum231 viewsOn February 14, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group had a great time dissecting owl pellets. The students located skulls, both rodent and avian, and other assorted bones. After identification and close inspection under microscopes, these were then mounted on project boards to bring home. Ghosts! Explaining the Paranormal231 viewsOver 50 people were in attendance for the first night of a six-week series called "Ghosts! Explaining the Paranormal." This course on the paranormal is being hosted by Saint Gabriel's Episcopal Church. Father Eric Fialho, the rector of the parish, has developed a course which explores what the wider church believes about the topic of ghosts. Clean Up231 viewsAfter a rainy Saturday, the Scouts from Pack 32 and Troop 32 of Marion along with countless volunteers from the community spent the morning on Sunday, April 27 cleaning up multiple areas around town. With the generous support of the Washburn Park Trust, the scouts, their families and countless volunteers started their spring-cleaning donating numerous items to a local charity (Gifts to Give).
