The event included musical entertainment by Tri-County musicians, Grades 4 and 5 bands from Sippican Elementary School, Sippican Historical Society carolers and Tabor Academy students, horse-drawn carriage rides, street entertainment, seasonal refreshments courtesy of area merchants, goodie bags from VASE, and crafts for kids. They shared the true meaning of Christmas with music, joy and fun for everyone present! Sponsored by the Marion Art Center, Weeden spoke on all matters indigenous from languages to the creation story shared by many nations. Weeden also noted the use of wampum (created from quahog shells) to make jewelry and as a form of monetary exchange. Fire Department Open House272 viewsOn October 10 and 11, Marion and Mattapoisett Fire Departments held open houses featuring plenty of fun for children of all ages. The occasion was the National Fire Prevention Week.
Since 1922, the National Fire Protection Association has been helping local fire departments with educational materials related to fire safety.

The beaver lodge was tested to see if it held water back and still kept the lodge dry inside. It was a huge success!
