The longtime fundraising event was not held in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic but made a roaring return on Saturday, as children raced their homemade go-carts and collected donations for the Murphy and Others, Living Interdependently for Future Endeavors, Inc. We learned about their life cycle, the plants these animals must have to reproduce and the plants they need to be able to survive their extremely long migration routes. We watched a video Maggie had taken of a monarch butterfly emerging from its chrysalis and expanding its wings to fly.
