On Monday, the town took part in “Pink Donuts for Alec Day” honoring the memory of Alec White by enjoying his favorite donut, pink frosted. Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run 313 views Sunday, May 4 was a perfect day for a fun run through Marion, and about 200 people turned out to participate in VASE’s second annual Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run to raise money for educational programs at Sippican Elementary School. VASE member Diana Martin organized the event, with the support of about 12 volunteers who assisted that morning in making sure the two races went off without a hitch. Photo by Felix Perez

Osprey Marsh Accessible Boardwalk313 viewsDespite a downpour perfectly timed for its planned gathering on Friday off Point Road in Marion, the Sippican Lands Trust celebrated the completion of the new Osprey Marsh Accessible Boardwalk. Executive Director Jim Bride and president Alan Harris held a live Zoom meeting for those who could not attend, and some of the donors for the project assisted in the ribbon-cutting. Marion natural History Museum313 viewsThe Museum hosted a very popular program for adults who wanted to learn a little about slowing down and becoming more aware of the health benefits of the forest. Professional forest bathing guide and author Nadine Mazzola led our group through some simple and restful exercises such as "the pleasures of presence" and noticing "what's in motion", to slow down and allow the forest to help us relax and feel more joyful.
