Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run 309 views Sunday, May 4 was a perfect day for a fun run through Marion, and about 200 people turned out to participate in VASE’s second annual Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run to raise money for educational programs at Sippican Elementary School. The course takes runners from Tabor Academy down Front Street through the village and back again to Tabor. Kids Equipment Fun Day309 viewsSaturday, May 7, was the date for the annual Kids Equipment Fun Day at Washburn Park in Marion, sponsored by Marion Recreation. The kids climbed aboard ambulances, fire trucks, police cruisers, and even the harbormaster’s boat. Well, the 3rd Annual Beer and Oyster Festival hosted by the Sippican Lands Trust, of course. This year’s event was held on September 18 on the grounds of the Cushing Community Center in Marion.
