Annual Turkey Trot 5K 381 viewsThe Annual Turkey Trot 5K wound its way through Marion Village on Sunday, November 17, with 182 trotters (and some ‘turkeys’ as well) braving a chilling wind that morning to make it to the finish line. Organized by the Marion Recreation Department, the event every year draws quite a flock of runners to the start and finish line at Tabor Academy, raising funds for Marion Rec programs and events. Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run 380 views Sunday, May 4 was a perfect day for a fun run through Marion, and about 200 people turned out to participate in VASE’s second annual Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run to raise money for educational programs at Sippican Elementary School. Second Annual Kid’s Equipment Day380 viewsLittle kids and big, big machines on a warm spring Marion morning made for tons of fun at the Marion Recreation’s Second Annual Kid’s Equipment Day on May 10. A row of different Town-owned vehicles including a police cruiser, ambulance, earth diggers, a fire engine, and fire trucks lined the Town House field.
