Santa's Arrival391 viewsMarion children gave a rock star’s welcome to Santa Claus, who arrived at Marion’s Annual Holiday Stroll by boat on December 13. The pouring rain didn’t stop Santa from spreading candy and holiday cheer to the crowd of exciting children. Ms. Converse will tell her story about her travels with the Himalayan Project to Nepal in April 2008, and Ms. Hunsdorfer will also be in attendance to share the incredible details of her eight trips to Nepal to distribute 25 huge duffel bags of fleece wear collected by Massachusetts’ school children. Second Annual Kid’s Equipment Day391 viewsLittle kids and big, big machines on a warm spring Marion morning made for tons of fun at the Marion Recreation’s Second Annual Kid’s Equipment Day on May 10. A row of different Town-owned vehicles including a police cruiser, ambulance, earth diggers, a fire engine, and fire trucks lined the Town House field. There were plenty of Department of Public Works, police, and fire personnel on hand to demonstrate how the vehicles work, to turn on lights and alarms, and answer questions. Photo by Jean Perry
