The museum lost many of its specimens during our ceiling collapse and these incredibly detailed pieces are greatly appreciated. Folks from the Fairhaven Village Militia and Wareham Militia Group in conjunction with Marion Recreation and the Marion Cultural Council took spectators back in time to Colonial Massachusetts during a weekend-long encampment at the beach. Participants in olde-tyme apparel demonstrated what life was like in the 1770s during the Revolutionary War through demonstrations of drilling, cooking, and flintlock musket use. Photos by Jean

Cushing Community Center on August 12 with an Open House, welcoming the general public to view the results of a months-long renovation that converted the old VFW Post #2425 building into a center for seniors and all residents to enjoy. Marion Halloween Parade 2017439 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. We took a close look at barrier beaches, vernal pools, salt marshes, and tide pools.
