4th Fireworks338 viewsDespite funding setbacks, the Marion fireworks took place this year at Silver Shell Beach under perfectly clear skies. Revelers enjoyed the patriotic music of Phil Sanborn and the Marion Concert Band while brilliant colors illuminated the harbor. Unless the town can secure a permanent source of funding, next years fireworks may be in jeopardy. Photo by Felix Perez.

Field Day Fun at Sippican School 338 viewsFriday morning we caught some first-graders in the middle of a hula-hoop relay on the grounds of Sippican School. Holding hands and cheering each other on, the kids twisted and turned themselves through the hoops and the first team to get their hoop to travel down and up the line again won the relay. Can you guess which team won? Photo by Jean Perry
