Beachside Tribute551 viewsUMass Dartmouth's Kikele Drumming Ensemble performs as friends and relatives of Curtis Doherty joined forces with the Marion DPW to spruce up the Silvershell Beach bath house in Marion over the past several weekends, painting it with environmentally-friendly, low VOC paint. Curtis spent countless hours over his lifetime on Silvershell Beach’s basketball court and last year teammates and friends designed and constructed granite and wood benches for the basketball court in Curtis’ memory.

SLT Oyster Fest 550 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos.
