The turnout exceeded past Kids Equipment Fun Day events in Marion, especially last year’s, which was repeatedly postponed and then canceled altogether. Celebrating the 4th632 viewsMarion's annual fireworks display attracted several thousand people to the town's Silvershell Beach Park on Friday evening July, 3. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. Holiday House Tour631 viewsThe Sippican Woman’s Club will start a weekend filled with holiday festivities in Marion with their Twenty-First Annual Holiday House Tour, with a theme of “Candyland,” on Saturday, December 8. The tour begins at Handy’s Tavern, 152 Front Street in Marion, on Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, which has been decorated to accompany the Candyland theme.

Mostly Maritime631 viewsStephen Cook’s acrylic painting titled "Last Haul" will be included in an exhibition titled “Mostly Maritime” which opens at the Marion Art Center on Sunday, March 2 with a reception to meet the artist from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. The exhibition will be installed in both galleries at the Marion Art Center, located on the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets in Marion through April 9. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free.
