Choral Concert726 viewsMembers of the Sippican Choral Society will present their annual Spring Concert on Friday and Saturday evenings, April 25 and April 26 at Saint Gabriels Church, 124 Front Street in Marion. Tickets may be purchased at the Seaport Village Ice Cream and Coffee Shoppe in Mattapoisett, The Bookstall in Marion, and at Baker Books in North Dartmouth. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 12 and under.

Celebrating the 4th723 viewsMarion's annual fireworks display attracted several thousand people to the town's Silvershell Beach Park on Friday evening July, 3. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. The soil from the compost pile had the highest number of animals, with 17 pill bugs, 26 worms, two beetles, 34 springtails, two millipedes and one nematode.
