We took a close look at the insides of cranberries to discover what makes them float, counted seeds - which tell us how many times a plant was fertilized by a bee – and had a chance to see how far we could "bounce" a berry. Bike Safety Day671 viewsThe Marion Police Department sponsored a Bicycle Safety Day for children and young adults at Silvershell Beach on Saturday morning, August 2. The day included bicycle safety information, a rodeo course and certificate awards for all participants. In addition, the Marion Police Department was awarded a statewide grant by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to provide 75 bicycle helmets during the event.
