Police Dedication386 viewsThe public was invited to a building dedication and ceremony for the new Marion police station on July 10, 2010. The town appropriated $3.8 million for the new building, which replaces the old police station on Spring Street. Among those in attendance were Police Chief Lincoln Miller, the Marion police department, the Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator Paul Dawson, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald and members of the Police Station Building Committee. Children enjoyed cotton candy, a bounce house and face-painting, while the grown-ups enjoyed conversation and good weather. Marion Art Center Show386 viewsThe Marion Art Center unveiled its new show in a special opening reception at the gallery on Friday, January 11. The 2013 Winter Members Exhibition features over 60 works by about 30 local artists, some well-known and some new to the local art scene. This is the first of two bi-annual shows that showcase work by members of MAC, from oil paintings to multi-media. Check out some of the great art work being created by Tri-Town artists.
