The exhibition will be installed in both galleries at the Marion Art Center, located on the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets in Marion through April 9. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission is free.

Marion Natural History Museum691 viewsDuring Wednesday's “Soil Critters” afterschool program, students had the opportunity to learn about what makes up a healthy soil and how varying numbers of insects populate different types of soil. The soil from the compost pile had the highest number of animals, with 17 pill bugs, 26 worms, two beetles, 34 springtails, two millipedes and one nematode. Turtle Talk690 viewsElizabeth Leidhold of the Marion Natural History Museum recently presented several programs on leatherback turtles at schools in Dartmouth under the auspices of the Buzzards Bay Action Committee (BBAC). The BBAC is a non-profit organization made up of 12 of the municipalities within the Buzzards Bay watershed. These programs are offered to schools at no charge and the BBAC is applying for a grant to fund more of these programs for local schools in the future.

The group is made up of men who are traditional jazz and Dixieland music enthusiasts. Bill Kiesewetter of Marion plays keyboard with the group.
