Marion Holiday Stroll365 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. Police Dedication364 viewsThe public was invited to a building dedication and ceremony for the new Marion police station on July 10, 2010. The town appropriated $3.8 million for the new building, which replaces the old police station on Spring Street. Among those in attendance were Police Chief Lincoln Miller, the Marion police department, the Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator Paul Dawson, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald and members of the Police Station Building Committee.
