Marion Natural History Museum479 viewsOver the past two Wednesdays, the MNHM afterschool group visited Bird Island courtesy of Isaac and Peter of the Marion Harbormaster's office. We observed many terns arriving to this crucial nesting spot, as well as oystercatchers, gulls, and a pair of Canadian geese. We inspected nesting boxes prepared by the state Fish & Wildlife department and the habitat restoration improvements to the island. We also toured the 200-year-old lighthouse.

After spending several months in hospitals in Florida and Boston, the Tabor Academy graduate and member of the Holy Cross women's rowing team returned to her Pitcher Street residence to continue her recovery from severe injuries sustained in a January 15 collision with a pickup truck in Vero Beach that took the life of her teammate Grace Rett and injured her coach and several other teammat

The Sippican Woman’s Club held a house tour that included all the landmarks stops in the Village, including the Marion Art Center and the Sippican Historical Society. The results were 1st Lucas Marcolini, 2nd Brendan Hubbard, 3rd Nathaniel Bangs, and 4th Nate Robertson. All four move on to regional finals in New Bedford later this month.
