Marion Holiday Stroll485 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. Marion Natural History Museum484 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum wishes to thank the Marion Harbormaster's office for a wonderful trip to Bird Island. The students were able to visit the island and see some of the birds that rely on this special habitat for raising their young. The children saw Oystercatchers, Osprey, and Terns. They also learned a little about the history of the lighthouse. This was a unique opportunity for students, many of whom do not have access to boats, to get on the water and enjoy Photo courtesy Elizabeth Leid
