The fund raiser was originally scheduled to run for two nights and to include Sunday but was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. Klondike Derby 379 viewsThe Marion Boy Scouts Troops 32 competed in the Klondike Derby held at Camp Cachalot in Carver, MA. All of the competing towns had to use sledges and Klondike Gold Rush themes to compete in a race. The winning troop earned a grand outdoor winter adventure. The event helps the scouts test their basic camping and survival skills. Coastal Explorations II 379 viewsMany thanks to Karen Moore Dourdeville for her excellent presentation to the Coastal Explorations II summer program regarding the sea turtles of Buzzards Bay. The students were able to piece together some of the skeleton of a Loggerhead that washed up in Mattapoisett two years ago.
