Breakfast with Santa493 viewsMarion’s Police Brotherhood held its 3rd annual toy drive and pancake breakfast with Santa at Sippican School on December 6. Families were asked to bring new unwrapped toys, and in return they were given a delicious pancake breakfast and a photo with Santa. Marion Christmas Stroll 493 viewsThe Marion Christmas Stroll is one of the quintessential holiday events in Tri-Town, with Santa making his grand entrance via boat and hopping aboard a horse-drawn carriage to ride through Marion village with some lucky kids who hop aboard with him. Boots493 viewsMarion resident ‘Boots’ the cat, AKA ‘Mr. Boots’ is a familiar sight to neighbors of Little Neck Village in Marion when he takes his owner Suzanne Peterson out for a walk around his little world several times a day with his little cat collar and leash. Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. Tabor Academy Polar Plunge493 viewsTabor Academy hosted its second annual Polar Plunge on Sunday, January 21 at Silvershell Beach to raise money for the school’s Special Olympics Young Athletes Program. Students from ‘fundraising rival’ Sandwich High also showed up, with scores of students and staff making a dash in and quickly out of the chilly waters. The plunge raised about $8,000.
