Veteran's Day 2013384 viewsThe Tri-Town honored veterans on Monday with moving programs. In Marion, the parade included Cub Scout Pack 32, Master of Ceremonies Joe Napoli, and the Sippican School Band. In Mattpoisett, Daniel Mazzuca gave a speech that focused on what our country can do for veterans in need of jobs, housing, and mental health services. Tabor Academy’s Oyster Farm384 viewsTabor Academy’s oyster farm is like a marine biology lab by the sea, providing students with hands-on learning experience. The school hosts a summer camp where campers can explore oyster farming firsthand, compiling “oyster reefs,” large piles of oysters, and depositing them into salt water. Dr. Burns is a veterinarian on Cape Cod and enjoys sharing his knowledge of shark species and their natural history with the public. 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot384 viewsThere were 31 registered runners for this year’s 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Marion Recreation on Sunday, November 22. The course takes runners from Tabor Academy down Front Street through the village and back again to Tabor.
