Marion Holiday Stroll385 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. Bradford welcomed the public to a groundbreaking ceremony for an 1,800-foot universally accessible wheelchair boardwalk on June 29 at the SLT’s Osprey Marsh property on Point Road in Marion. SLT board members, contributors, and a few community members were in attendance. They hope to have the 1,800 ft. all accessible/wheelchair boardwalk completed in six months. This boardwalk will be the first of its kind in the Southcoast region.
