Marion 4th of July Horse Show457 viewsQuite the crowd cantered over to Washburn Park after the parade for the annual Marion 4th of July Horse Show. This is the 71st year of the horse show, which is supposedly the longest running horse show in the region.

Marion Town Party457 viewsChalk up another successful Marion Town Party as several hundred party-goers found good food and fun on the grounds of the Town House on 8/25. Children of all ages enjoyed inflatable games, climbing the rock wall, or jumping around to music. The annual party has its roots deep in the community and may have started as early at 1900. This year’s event featured live entertainment, a scavenger hunt, and lots of good food.

Ms. Rolfe, along with renowned flutist Katharine Kemler, will entertain the audience on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Marion First Congregational Church. Block Party!456 viewsIt was a little earlier than usual, but the annual Marion Block Party on August 28, 2010 went off without a hitch. Children enjoyed cotton candy, a bounce house and face-painting, while the grown-ups enjoyed conversation and good weather. Each teacher devised their own scavenger hunt for the kids that helped the students discover their classrooms.
