Marion Natural History Museum426 viewsDuring our after-school netting program at the Harbormaster's beach, the students had a chance to study a variety of our seashore animals. The totals were: 278 silversides, 14 mummichogs, 1 pipefish, 15 glass shrimp, 10 moon jellies, 1 sea nettle and 3 sea robins. There were many other larger fish but we couldn't get close enough to identify them. We were lucky enough to have a warm sunny day to enjoy the activity, and the museum would like to thank the student helpers from both Tabor Academy and ORRHS.

Hannah Strom Homecoming 426 viewsHundreds of supporters lined the sidewalks along Front Street in Marion village on June 3 to welcome home Hannah Strom. After spending several months in hospitals in Florida and Boston, the Tabor Academy graduate and member of the Holy Cross women's rowing team returned to her Pitcher Street residence to continue her recovery from severe injuries sustained in a January 15 collision with a pickup truck in Vero Beach that took the life of her teammate Grace Rett and injured her coach and several other teammat

Pinewood Derby425 viewsOn Saturday, March 2nd 2013, The Cubs Scout Pack 32 held a pinewood derby at the Community Hall of the Congregational Church in Marion. The results were 1st Lucas Marcolini, 2nd Brendan Hubbard, 3rd Nathaniel Bangs, and 4th Nate Robertson. All four move on to regional finals in New Bedford later this month. This was the last after-school program for 2015, and the students had a chance to have some fun decorating as well as enjoying snacks and slides of the past year's programs.
