Occasion Singers389 viewsLeft: The Marion Art Center celebrated Valentines Day a few days early as they welcomed the Occasion Singers for a sold out performance during the center’s Cabaret Night of Love Songs on Saturday evening, February 11. The capacity crowd was treated to a night of jazz, pop, older standards and love songs from the Tri-Town based vocal group. Marion Holiday Stroll389 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. The turnout exceeded past Kids Equipment Fun Day events in Marion, especially last year’s, which was repeatedly postponed and then canceled altogether.
