Marion Town Party431 viewsChalk up another successful Marion Town Party as several hundred party-goers found good food and fun on the grounds of the Town House on 8/25. Children of all ages enjoyed inflatable games, climbing the rock wall, or jumping around to music. The annual party has its roots deep in the community and may have started as early at 1900. This year’s event featured live entertainment, a scavenger hunt, and lots of good food.

Marion Holiday Stroll431 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year.
