Arts in the Park476 viewsThe Marion Art Center’s annual “Arts in the Park” event was greeted by a gorgeous weekend, as cars lined Marion’s streets and visitors strolled through Bicentennial Park, ducking into the shade of white tents to visit the many artisans and their goods. Historic Fire475 viewsA blue tarp hides the extensive roof damage the antique house on Delano Road suffered in the December 4, 2009 fire. The fire, which started in the rear right section of the house, licked up the side of the house and left a hole in the roof.

Susan Dexter used a metal detector to find artifacts from the site, and turned up an Indian-head penny and a couple heavily rusted items.

Rumors475 viewsRumors, the award-winning comedy by Neil Simon, opens at the Marion Art Center on Friday March 5 at 8:00 pm and runs Saturday, March 6, Thursday, March 11, Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13 at 8:00 pm. There will be a matinee on Sunday, March 7 at 4:00 pm. Tickets are $12.50 for MAC members and $15 general admission. Reservations are recommended: 508-748-1266. Tables are available for parties of four or more.
