Marion Natural History Museum264 viewsMany thanks to Karen Dourdeville of Mass Audubon's Wellfleet sea turtle stranding network, for her presentation on Sea Turtles of Massachusetts. Karen spoke about the various species of sea turtles we might see in our waters, including the massive Leatherback, the Loggerhead, and the much smaller Kemp's Ridley turtle. Every winter, there are many sea turtle strandings along the Cape Cod Bay side of the Cape. Fire Department Open House298 viewsOn October 10 and 11, Marion and Mattapoisett Fire Departments held open houses featuring plenty of fun for children of all ages. The occasion was the National Fire Prevention Week.
Since 1922, the National Fire Protection Association has been helping local fire departments with educational materials related to fire safety.
