VIP Treatment433 viewsSeven-year-old Brady Weglowski from Mattapoisett was named VIP and given the title of Ambassador for a day as part of a program through Healing Little Hearts and Boston Children’s Hospital. Brady (right), who suffers from a congenital heart defect, and classmate Ty Dumas traveled by motorcade with diplomatic security to meet with Gov. Deval Patrick, who showed the children his collection of challenge coins. Patrick also provided Brady with a citation to commemorate the visit.

Junior High School Band annual outing at Six Flags New England on 5/11/13, three Scouts and their Adult Leaders went to Camp Cachalot from Friday (5/10/13) night until Sunday (5/12/13) morning for a backpacking adventure. Big Trucks378 viewsDespite the soggy weather on Saturday, May 11th, close to 100 kids of all ages came to Marion Recreation’s Kid’s Equipment Day held at Town Field on Main Street. Kids were able to climb and explore a fire truck, ambulance, bucket truck, police cruiser, street sweeper and construction vehicles. All children received a free fire hat or construction hat. Many volunteers were on hand to assist the kids and to answer any questions.
