Forest and Farm Day With the MLT

Get back to the land on Saturday, November 14, when the Mattapoisett Land Trust (MLT) hosts a Forest and Farm Day at its Grace Pond property on Bowman Road to highlight this beautiful, and often overlooked, preserve. All are welcome. There will be lots of fun and free activities to engage the whole family, including our popular campfire with smores, hot cider and live music. Pine Meadow Farm will be on-site, bringing alpacas, goats and assorted critters. The farmers will also offer a hands-on wool activity, and kids will be able to make a pinecone bird feeder. Forester Kate Marquis will also be there to highlight the ecological benefits provided by trees while leading an easy walk around the meadow’s forested edge.

This fun family event is scheduled to run from 2:00 pm to 5.30 pm, while the alpacas will be there from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Come on down.
