Food Drive for Damien’s Place Food Pantry

A food drive is planned to support Damien’s Place Food Pantry, from 8:00 am to 10:45 am, on Saturday, September 26, at 140 Front Street, across from the Post Office.

Damien’s Food Pantry welcomes people of every age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, and housing status, without discrimination. Damien’s Food Pantry is based on the belief that everyone deserves to experience dignity, respect, and compassion — especially during these difficult times.

This food drive is being sponsored by the Marion Democratic Town Committee. All donations will go to the food pantry.

Suggested items to drop off include the following: fresh produce, hot and cold cereals (low sugar), pancake mix and pancake syrup (no high fructose syrup), peanut butter and jelly (low sugar), dry pasta and pasta sauce, brown and white rice, instant potatoes, baked beans, low sodium soups, canned fruit (no sugar added), low sodium canned vegetables, canned tuna in water, canned chicken, 100% juices, shelf stable milk, cheese and eggs, toiletries, paper products, pet food, diapers and wipes. Make sure that none of your donations have expired dates.

Please mark your calendar for the morning of September 26. Bring your donations to the table set up at 140 Front Street. The Marion Democratic Town Committee will pack and deliver all goods to the food pantry that morning.
