An Informational Series to Explore SOGIE

The South Coast LGBTQ+ Network and The Rochester Rainbow Coalition present: An Informational Series to Explore SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Gender Expression)

This is the first in a series to plainly explain SOGIE from different points of view. The presenters include Andy Pollock, South Coast LGBTQ+ Network’s Executive Director, who will discuss what SOGIE means and how it helps people see LGBTQ+ people as individuals, rather than a category. Dr. Sara Gonzalez, a pediatrician, will cover the topic from a medical perspective, and John Masson, the Network’s board president, will address related mental health issues.

This is for ages 18 and older. Parents, grandparents, teachers, town employees, health care workers, neighbors and anyone else who comes with genuine curiosity, interest in learning about this topic, and understanding the language better. The presentation will be held on Monday, September 21, at 6:00 pm at the Rochester Council on Aging, 67 Dexter Lane, Rochester (Remaining Series Schedule TBA).
