Mattapoisett Democratic Town Committee

The Mattapoisett Democratic Town Committee invites residents to join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, September 23, at 6:30 pm at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library.

You don’t need to be a committee member to attend, and you certainly don’t need to know how a town committee works. Our meetings are open to everyone, and we welcome anyone who is curious about what we do, interested in becoming more involved, or simply wants to listen and learn.

A lot is happening in our town, our state and across the country, and it can be hard to know where an individual can make a difference. One place to start is right here at home. Local committees bring neighbors together, help people learn about issues and elections, support candidates, encourage voter participation and create opportunities for people to become involved in ways that fit their interests and available time.

Just as importantly, our meetings are a chance to meet other people in the community and have a conversation. You don’t have to arrive with an agenda, an opinion on every issue, or a willingness to volunteer for anything. Come because you have a question. Come because you have an idea. Come because you’d like to meet some neighbors. Or just come because you’re curious.
