Vocalist Emma Marshall is a middle school music teacher in Rhode Island, flute player and church musician at St. Joseph’s Church, Jesus Savior Church and the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at Salve Regina University — all in Newport, RI. She performs on flute with the Newport Community Band and the Our Lady of Light Symphonic Band of Fall River. She has previously performed with the American Band of Providence, and briefly with the Marion Band. Now you can find her sitting in the audience with her two future musicians cheering proudly for their father, who plays in the French horn section, and Grammy, who plays in the clarinet section: both longtime members of this wonderful band.
The concert will be held at the Robert Broomhead Bandstand, Island Wharf off Front Street in Marion. The program, under the direction of Tobias Monte, will begin at 7:00 pm. All concerts are free and open to the public. “Like” us on Facebook at “Marion Town Band” for up-to-date announcements and rain cancellation notices.
