Dreaming of a White Christmas530 viewsThis barn, photographed on December 26, 2010, was part of the original Riverside Farms, a dairy farm that stretched along River Road. It was built in the late 1930s by Manuel R. Nunes, Sr. when an agricultural law was passed to segregate horses from dairy cattle. His son, Manuel R. Nunes, Jr. was the Mattapoisett Highway Surveyor for many years. The barn is still in use today for horses and hay storage by Nunes descendants, still living along River Road. Photo by Tim Smith.
