The Patriot’s Pen essay contest gives sixth, seventh and eighth grade students the opportunity to express their opinion on a patriotic theme and improve their writing skills, while they compete for worthwhile awards and prizes. Some 43,000 walkers took part in the event that raised a record-breaking $3.3 million.
