The members of the church sought to give the gift of a book to each child in a single class at the north-side New Bedford school in an effort to promote the school’s literacy program.

OHS Heads West!615 viewsThe Old Hammondtown School Drama Club presented a stirring production of “Go West!” on Thursday May 3 at 7:00 pm for the general public and Friday May 4 at 9:00 am for fellow students. ORR Relay for Life1007 viewsJust some of the nearly 200 students, teachers, family members and friends who recently participated in the Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) at Old Rochester Regional High School on Friday, June 10. The fund-raising event kicked off with the first laps led by cancer survivors, while 17 teams of walkers continued on throughout the 18-hour event. This year’s walk raised more than $48,000 for ACS programs.

Students Sowing Seeds759 viewsSecond graders at Rochester Memorial School received a grant of 200 bulbs from the North American Flowerbulb Wholesales Association, and small groups of students set the 178 bulbs around the school’s sign and on either side of the front door earlier this week.
