The 5K began at Shipyard Park and cut down Ned’s Point Road to the point, around the lighthouse and back. The Grinch led the pack on his bike, and residents stood by to cheer on all the runners. The Irving Berlin Revue singers include Brad Cardwell, Johnny Ashley, Paul Sardinha, Lyn-Marie Dandineau, Sarah Jackson, Mary Caldwell, and Caroline Blaise.

Crescent Beach120 viewsLast Saturday, the diving raft at Crescent Beach, Mattapoisett broke loose. Several (mostly older) residents held it from beaching in rough waters for approximately an hour while waiting for help from Mattapoisett Boatyard and while trying to reach a young volunteer who coordinates all things related to the raft. Tickets were sold out and the venue was filled up. Oysters were served alongside beer and whatever food the over 20 different tables decided to bring.
