MBTA Commuter Rail188 viewsThe initial group of brand-new MBTA Commuter Rail cars destined for Rochester were in West Wareham on June 16, nearing the end of a long journey that took the cars from South Korea where they were constructed to Baltimore, Maryland, where they were put on rails and eventually brought to Massachusetts and welcomed by a crew of MBTA personnel. Arts in the Park188 viewsThe Marion Art Center’s annual “Arts in the Park” event was greeted by a gorgeous weekend, as cars lined Marion’s streets and visitors strolled through Bicentennial Park, ducking into the shade of white tents to visit the many artisans and their goods. Marion Natural History Museum188 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's Coastal Exploration group had a wonderful time last week exploring Marion's shoreline, inland wetlands and woodland areas. We collected examples of plankton, caught fish and frogs in our nets, investigated tide pools and took trips to Bird and Ram Island.
