Rochester turned 340 years old on June 4, and the third grade class from RMS was invited to celebrate with some cake and ice cream at the senior center on Tuesday. Students started the day with a tour around historic Rochester before breaking for lunch and sharing a large birthday cake with seniors. Plumb Knitters535 viewsThe Knitters at Plumb Library have done it again. Last year, they donated 185 scarves for soldiers. This year, the Rochester knitters made items for children, donating 46 caps for preemies at Charlton Hospital, and 19 pairs of mittens, 40 hats, 23 scarves, one sweater, and one pair of socks for "Gifts to Give" in New Bedford.
