Rochester Grange Fair 173 viewsThe Annual Rochester Grange Fair was held on August 20 for the 111th time! Grange members displayed their talents in a variety of categories ranging from vegetable growing, photography, baking, crocheting and floral arrangements. Awards were given to first, second and third-place winners as well as the Judges Awards. Boy Scout Troop 31 assisted Grange members, headed by Chairman Herbert LaFleur and Secretary Susan LaFleur. Rochester Fire Department173 viewsMembers of the Rochester Fire Department participated in full gear for Saturday’s, 3-mile Team Hero's Walk held at Fort Taber in New Bedford. In the department’s 10th year walking, the participants raised $8,500, the largest amount raised to date as they symbolized the extra weight of living with Multiple Sclerosis. In 2014, Deputy Fire Chief and Highway Surveyor Jeff Eldridge was diagnosed with MS after experiencing the pain of trigeminal neuralgia, a condition he continues to battle while serving the Town

Rochester Rodeo173 viewsThe second of the bi-weekly rodeo was held at the Rochester Fair Grounds this past Saturday by New England Rodeo. Present were over 20 professional bull riders from New England, Latin America, and Brazil. There were also professional barrel riders and mounted shooters. There were some young cowboys and cowgirls who also gave it their best to stay on a bucking pony.
