Bristol County Radio Control Club 218 viewsMembers of the Bristol County Radio Control Club gathered on August 20 at Mary's Pond in Rochester for the annual fun fly of radio-controlled pontoon airplanes. Nationally, there are several thousand recognized clubs engaged in the activity, said Ned Watts, an avid pilot of the Styrofoam craft. Community Block Party218 viewsIt was a party for all ages when the Rochester Council on Aging hosted a Community Block Party on June 22. Local 4-H clubs brought animals, while Rochester's Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops provided games that included a soft-ax throw and soft archery-challenge games.
