Rochester Movie Set322 viewsOnce The Wanderer first reported the presence of a Hollywood film crew in Rochester on April 2 word quickly spread, and so did the rumors that stars of the film production “Joy” were in town for the day. There were no star sightings, however Rochester resident Hilary Wood was able to get some photos of the action from her front yard, after the surprise of an Amish-driven horse and carriage caught her eye as it passed her window on Hartley Road. First Congregational Church of Rochester322 viewsThe bell of the First Congregational Church of Rochester rang above the center of Rochester for the last time this morning, November 20, before it was lowered from the church’s belfry via crane to the ground, the final step of the renovation on the church. The historic bell, created in 1892 by an apprentice of Paul Revere III, grandson to our famous bell maker Paul Revere, will be refurbished and put in storage for some time before it is returned to the church.
