Electronic Recycling368 viewsThe Rochester Land Trust held an electronics recycling drop-off on Saturday, April 23, during the Women’s Club’s Earth Day Town-wide Clean-up. They received a steady stream of retro radios, tube TVs, and boom boxes, making it look like a curatorship of a vintage electronics museum of sorts. Photos by Colin Veitch

Rochester Country Fair368 viewsRochester Country FairThe Rochester Country Fair rolled into town on Thursday, August 18, filled the air with the sweet smells of Italian sausage and fried fair food, mixed with the smoke of diesel engines, and created that magical scent we all relish until the fair wrapped up on Sunday, August 21. Tractor pulls, animal shows, kids’ games, music, and wrestling (including the match between The Aardvark and Buck Chuck) delighted us while it lasted in the bucolic setting of Rochester, Massachusetts. Rochester Tractor Pull368 viewsIf you were anywhere near the Rochester Country Fair grounds on Saturday, you heard the familiar sounds of revving tractor engines echoing throughout the town. The country fair committee held a tractor pull/swap fundraiser on April 29. Those who attended got an early taste of the sights, sounds, and smells of the Rochester Country Fair with dirt flying, engines blasting, and diesel smoke billowing up into the air.
