Arbor Day351 viewsOutgoing Rochester Town Administrator Michael McCue led a small Arbor Day gathering on Friday, April 29, outside the Rochester Police Station where the Highway Department has planted ten Leyland cypress trees to screen the gas tank located at the site. Rep. William Straus and Maria Connor, representing Senator Michael Rodrigues, attended the event. The event is a competition in training, tracking, obedience, and protection for working breeds of dogs. Rochester Country Fair 351 viewsThe Rochester Country Fair rolled into town on Thursday, August 18, filled the air with the sweet smells of Italian sausage and fried fair food, mixed with the smoke of diesel engines, and created that magical scent we all relish until the fair wrapped up on Sunday, August 21. Tractor pulls, animal shows, kids’ games, music, and wrestling (including the match between The Aardvark and Buck Chuck) delighted us while it lasted in the bucolic setting of Rochester, Massachusetts.
