Cat Tails and Cocktails 367 viewsIt’s All About the Animals last Thursday held an invitation-only cocktail party to celebrate the opening of its new addition and “catio” (cats + screened-in patio= catio). The addition was dedicated to contractor Matthew Sherman, who passed away before completion of the project. Waterman school, which was in the building that now houses the Rochester Fire Department, was the forerunner to RMS during the first half of the Twentieth Century. Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Car Show Dreams366 views108 cars attended the A Wish Come True car show on October 11, 2009 at Rochesters Plumb Corner. Each vehicle owner paid to attend the show, and the proceeds went to the organization, which works to grant wishes to children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. SUV Fire366 viewsAn SUV was completely consumed by a fire in Rochester on Braley Hill Road, on Saturday evening, January 7, 2012. A passing motorist saw the flames and helped direct the occupants to safety. No injuries were reported, but Police Chief Paul Magee reported that the vehicle was a "total loss".
