Hundreds attended and greeted jolly old Saint Nick as he rode in on the town’s new yellow fire tower truck. Octopurrfest377 viewsThe Rochester cat shelter “It’s All About the Animals” held its 2nd Annual Octopurrfest on Sunday, October 2. Raising over $7,000, owner/operator Pam Robinson said this year’s event was “absolutely over the top!” The shelter is in the process of building an addition to create a cat room and a porch. “I cannot thank everyone enough for their wonderful donation and participation,” said Robinson. Cat Tails and Cocktails 377 viewsIt’s All About the Animals last Thursday held an invitation-only cocktail party to celebrate the opening of its new addition and “catio” (cats + screened-in patio= catio). The addition was dedicated to contractor Matthew Sherman, who passed away before completion of the project. The pinewood derby is a tradition that was started back in 1963 in Manhattan Beach, California and persists to this day.
