None of her three matches lasted more than 30 seconds as she ran through the competition. Alyssa won all her matches by Ippon, which is similar to a knockout in boxing. Some 43,000 took part in the event that raised a record-breaking $3.3 million. The pilots use charts provided by the United States Government to determine if the thickness of the ice is enough to support the weight of their airplanes.
