Mattapoisett Fire Department592 viewsOn Sunday, firefighters completed a 110-floor stair climb in full structural firefighting gear in Portland, Maine in honor of the 343 FDNY firefighters killed on 9/11. The climb was sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and each climber was assigned a fallen FDNY firefighters accountability tag with their name and picture, which made the climb that much more important to everyone involved.

The MWC is grateful for the donations from the Lion's Club, Mahoney's, and the Mattapoisett Highway Department for preparing the various places for planting.
