On display was a jellyfish from gift ribbons, spice and herb shaker tops organized like a universe of the imagination, a bust of a female figure with braids created from plastic bags and tie-wraps, a deconstructed cookbook cut in strips and woven together in new text layouts and fabric swatches reorganized and reimagined as unintentional visual glories.

Mattapoisett Polar Plunge187 viewsNew Year’s Day 2023 was bright and balmy when over 100 “plungers” ran, walked, hopped and slid into the freezing waters at Mattapoisett Town Beach. The event was hosted by an ad hoc group collecting donations for those battling cancer. The group has been successful in their efforts to help offset the unseen costs associated with a cancer diagnosis impacting local families. Mattapoisett Land Trust Vice President Peter Davies told the Wanderer that the Mattapoisett Museum and the MLT have jointly organized the event for five nonconsecutive years.
